SATUMA is a Pakistani unmanned aerial vehicle manufacturer producing surveillance, trainer and target-drone UAV systems for military and government customers.

History

SATUMA (Private) Limited was established in 1989 as an indigenous UAV development initiative and has grown into a full-service aviation facility serving domestic and international clients. The company states it established Pakistan's first UAV squadron for the Pakistan Air Force in 2003, and its history includes project work with the Sultanate of Oman (1997–98, with a technology-transfer agreement in 2011), the Pakistan Army, and the Sri Lankan Air Force.

Products

SATUMA's catalogue spans surveillance and reconnaissance systems (including the Jasoos tactical reconnaissance UAV), trainer UAVs, target drones, ground control stations, UAV simulation software, and support equipment. Its target-drone line includes the Thunder, Saad and Ababeel aircraft, the last marketed for target practice and missile evaluation and testing. SATUMA describes the Pakistan Air Force as its principal customer.
