Terra Drone

Terra Drone is a Japanese drone company founded in February 2016 and headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo. The company began as an industrial drone-service provider, offering aerial inspection, surveying and mapping and unmanned-traffic-management services, and has since expanded internationally through acquisitions of local drone operators in Europe, Asia and other regions.

Through its Terra Defense division, the company has moved into counter-drone and interceptor systems. In 2026 it invested in Ukraine-based interceptor-drone developer Amazing Drones and launched the Terra B1, a Japan-made interceptor drone developed from lessons learned in Ukraine and selected the same year by Japan's Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency (ATLA) to counter long-range one-way attack drones.

Terra Drone has also supplied Japan's defence ministry with general-purpose UAVs under an earlier ATLA contract, alongside its continuing industrial and agricultural drone business.
