Aeronautics Defense (also known as Aeronautics Ltd) is an Israeli unmanned-systems manufacturer headquartered in Yavne, Israel. According to Wikipedia, the company was founded in 1997, and in September 2019 it was acquired by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, becoming part of the larger Rafael group.

Product families

Aeronautics builds unmanned platforms across several product lines: small tactical fixed-wing systems such as the Orbiter family, the tactical Aerostar family, the larger Dominator medium-altitude, long-endurance platform, the Skystar family of tethered surveillance aerostats, and the Seastar line of unmanned surface vessels.

Notable programmes and customers

Wikipedia documents export programmes including a roughly $250 million 2006 contract with Nigeria and a 2012 agreement to supply Finland with unmanned aerial systems. Airforce Technology separately documents Aerostar-specific contracts with the Dutch Ministry of Defence and Polish forces. Aeronautics' flagship tactical UAV, the Aerostar, remains the company's best-known airframe.
