Aevum is an American aerospace company founded in 2016 by Jay Skylus and headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama, developing an autonomous runway-launched system for carrying small satellites to orbit.

History and products

Aevum's product is Ravn X, a large autonomous jet aircraft designed to carry a two-stage rocket under its fuselage, release it near the edge of the atmosphere, and return to land and taxi back into its hangar for reuse. The company unveiled Ravn X in December 2020 and secured a 2019 US Air Force contract for the ASLON-45 cubesat mission, but as of its most recent public appearance in September 2026 the aircraft had completed only ground taxi tests and had not yet flown, several years behind its original timeline.
