BHE Bonn Hungary
BHE Bonn Hungary Electronics Ltd. is a Hungarian RF and microwave engineering company founded in 1991 and based in Budapest. It has supplied signal sources, frequency converters, amplifiers and repeaters for mobile and critical-communication networks, satellite ground segments, and defence customers.
History and products
Alongside its core RF and microwave business, BHE designed and sold a small family of fixed-wing surveillance UAVs branded BXAP, including the BXAP13 and the BXAP15, marketed from around 2010 to 2014 for infrastructure patrol, disaster monitoring, agriculture, wildlife monitoring, border control and geodesy. One BXAP15 airframe was used in a published Hungarian academic research project sounding the planetary boundary layer for aviation meteorology.
BHE's current product catalogue, now also presented under the BHE Corp name, covers RF and microwave equipment for critical communications, space ground segments and defence, including drone-detection modules; it no longer lists a UAV airframe, indicating the company's own UAV line has been discontinued in favour of this counter-UAV and RF/microwave focus.
