senseFly is a Swiss drone manufacturer founded in 2009 as a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), based in Cheseaux-sur-Lausanne, Switzerland. The company became a subsidiary of French drone maker Parrot in the years following its founding, and was then acquired by American sensor and drone company AgEagle Aerial Systems in 2021.
senseFly's main product line is the eBee family of fixed-wing, hand-launched mapping drones aimed at surveying, agriculture, construction and environmental monitoring. The flagship eBee X, launched in 2018, supports interchangeable RGB, multispectral and thermal cameras along with real-time and post-processed kinematic positioning for survey-grade accuracy. Other members of the eBee family are built on the same basic airframe with sensors tailored to specific applications such as agriculture and geospatial mapping.
Since the AgEagle acquisition, senseFly has continued to operate as AgEagle's fixed-wing drone brand alongside AgEagle's other sensor and software products, including the MicaSense multispectral camera line.
