XAG P150 Max

XAG · China · also known as P150 Max · Updated

XAG P150 Max is an autonomous agricultural multirotor developed by XAG of China, unveiled at Agritechnica 2025, built around interchangeable modules for crop spraying, granule spreading, field mapping and small cargo transport. It is the flagship of XAG's P-series of farm drones, intended for large-scale field crops, orchards and protected-crop operations.

Overview

XAG unveiled the P150 Max in November 2025 at Agritechnica, the biennial agricultural-machinery trade fair in Hanover, Germany. It extends the company's P-series line of task-module agricultural drones, which XAG has sold since the early 2010s as part of its push into precision farming across China and, increasingly, overseas markets. XAG has since announced FCC approval for the P150 Max and the start of sales through its authorized US dealer network, positioning the aircraft to help farmers in markets such as the United States cope with labour shortages during tight spray and planting windows.

The aircraft is built around XAG's SuperX 5 Ultra Intelligent Control System, which the company says enables fully autonomous flight with centimetre-level positioning accuracy, aided by a 4D imaging radar and a wide-angle FPV camera for obstacle detection. XAG designed the P150 Max as a multi-role platform: rather than building separate airframes for spraying, seeding or mapping, the same aircraft accepts different task modules depending on the job.

Design and capabilities

The P150 Max is a four-rotor electric multirotor rated for an 80 kg payload and a maximum flight speed of about 20 m/s (72 km/h). It is powered by XAG's B141050 Smart SuperCharge battery, rated at 1,050 Wh and up to 1,500 charge cycles, which XAG says can be recharged in as little as 7 minutes using its parallel-charging kit. Positioning uses XAG's PPP-AR mode for centimetre-level accuracy, supported by the XRTK 7 mobile base station for use in remote fields, and the SRC 5 remote controller pairs with a 7-inch touchscreen and an 8-hour battery life; video link range is quoted at up to 2 km.

Four task modules are available. The RevoSpray 5 spraying system carries an 80-litre tank (50 litres in single-battery mode) through dual centrifugal nozzles, applying up to 32 litres per minute (46 litres per minute with a four-nozzle upgrade) at a droplet size adjustable from 60 to 500 microns across a 5–10 m swath. The RevoCast 5 spreading system carries a 115-litre hopper for seed or fertiliser up to 10 mm in size, spreading at up to 300 kg per minute across a 9 m width. The RealTerra mapping module flies autonomous mapping surveys covering up to 20 hectares per flight, combining obstacle detection with 3D terrain modelling. The RevoSling module carries loads of up to 80 kg for on-farm transport, with XAG quoting a flight speed of about 13.8 m/s (49.7 km/h) in that configuration.

Use cases

XAG markets the P150 Max for autonomous crop spraying, granule seeding and fertilising, aerial field mapping and short-range cargo transport on farms, aimed at large-scale field-crop, orchard and protected-crop operators. XAG positions the system as a way for agricultural service providers to cover more ground with fewer operators during seasonal labour shortages.

Frequently asked questions

What is the payload capacity of the XAG P150 Max?

XAG rates it at 80 kg, whether carrying spray liquid, granules or cargo via the RevoSling module.

How fast is the XAG P150 Max?

XAG quotes a maximum flight speed of about 20 m/s (72 km/h), dropping to about 13.8 m/s (49.7 km/h) when carrying a sling load.

What tasks can the P150 Max perform?

It accepts interchangeable modules for spraying (RevoSpray 5), granule spreading (RevoCast 5), field mapping (RealTerra) and cargo transport (RevoSling).

Is the XAG P150 Max available in the United States?

Yes. XAG says it is FCC-approved and sold through its authorized US dealer network, with local training and parts support.

Who makes the XAG P150 Max?
