L50

ABZ Innovation · Hungary · also known as ABZ Innovation L50 · Updated

The ABZ Innovation L50 is an agricultural multirotor drone built by ABZ Innovation of Hungary for large-scale crop spraying and spreading. It carries a 50-litre spray tank or a 70-litre dry-spreading system and is named "ABZ Innovation L50" on the manufacturer's own product page.

Overview

The L50 is part of ABZ Innovation's L-Series of spraying drones, sold alongside the company's S-Series spreaders, C-Series cleaning drones and M-Series cargo platforms. In June 2026 the US Federal Communications Commission issued a public notice, following Department of War review, granting the "ABZ Innovation Kft. L50 Uncrewed Aircraft System" a conditional exemption from the FCC's Covered List under defined conditions, clearing a path for use in the United States.

Design and capabilities

The L50 is a multirotor aircraft with a maximum take-off mass of 108 kg, of which the manufacturer's own figures put the usable payload at roughly 56 kg once the 51.9 kg unloaded weight (with battery) is subtracted. It carries either a 50-litre (about 13-gallon) spraying tank or a 70-litre (about 19-gallon) spreading system, with a stated maximum flow rate of 16 L/min and an adjustable droplet size from 60 to 1,000 micrometres through a centrifugal disc application system. ABZ Innovation states a maximum coverage rate of 25 hectares (62 acres) per hour across a 12-metre working width.

The aircraft uses dual-RTK positioning for centimetre-level accuracy, 3D LiDAR-based obstacle avoidance, and an adjustable FHD camera. It is powered by an 18S, 40,000 mAh battery pack that ABZ Innovation says recharges in 20 to 25 minutes, paired with a 7-inch, 1,600-nit remote-controller display rated for more than 8 hours of operation and chargeable while in use.
