Baykar Tech

Baykar Tech (also known simply as Baykar) is a privately held Turkish defence and aerospace company headquartered in Istanbul, founded in 1986. The company manufactures unmanned aerial vehicles alongside command-and-control systems, avionics, payloads and simulator systems, and describes itself as having delivered more than 1,000 UAVs to customers in 39 countries.

Baykar's best-known product family is the Bayraktar series of tactical and strategic drones. The Bayraktar TB2 is the company's widely exported medium-altitude, long-endurance armed reconnaissance drone. The larger Bayraktar Akıncı is a twin-engine high-altitude, long-endurance combat drone designed to carry heavier and longer-range munitions. The company also builds the smaller Bayraktar Mini UAV hand-launched reconnaissance system, the Bayraktar DİHA naval variant, and has unveiled the jet-powered Bayraktar Kızılelma unmanned fighter-type aircraft.

The Turkish Armed Forces remain Baykar's primary customer, and the company's aircraft have since been exported to armed forces across Europe, the Caucasus, the Middle East and Africa. Baykar has also expanded into aerospace manufacturing and partnerships beyond Turkey in recent years.
